We’ve recruited some of the smartest people in the UK to help answer your questions about food, cooking, nutrition and everything in between. We’ve brought together experts in their field, from nutritionists to chefs and child psychologists. We’re challenging them to give simple answers to your questions and asking them to share their best hacks and advice for even the fussiest child. Meet our panel of brilliant experts below.

Charlotte Radcliffe RNutr

Charlotte Radcliffe is a registered nutritionist (RNutr) and director of The Nutrition Consultant Ltd. 

Having worked in the food industry for over 20 years, Charlotte has a unique combination of skills. She incorporates solid, evidence-based nutrition, communications and commercial expertise together with an in-depth understanding of food and ingredients. She has a strong food safety and technical background, and since qualifying as a nutritionist in 2007, she has performed many nutrition roles in the food industry (including working as Company Nutritionist for one of the world’s most recognised food brands).

Tom Hunt

Tom Hunt is an award-winning chef, food writer and food waste campaigner. His Bristol restaurant Poco attained the Sustainable Restaurant Association’s highest ever score of 96%.

Ching-He Huang MBE

Ching-He Huang MBE is an International Emmy nominated, Award winning TV chef & cookery author who has become an ambassador of Chinese cooking around the world. Ching received an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours 2020 list, for services to The Culinary Arts. Born in Taiwan, raised in South Africa and U.K., cookery was a vital connection between Ching and her Chinese heritage. Her creative food ethos is to use fresh, organic, and ethically sourced ingredients to create modern dishes with Chinese heritage, fusing tradition and innovation.


Ching’s career in the media as a TV chef and author has spanned the last two decades, transforming people’s perceptions of Chinese food over this time by keeping it fresh, popular, and engaged. She works tirelessly to promote Chinese cuisine through her TV shows, books, wok range and involvement in many high profile campaigns and causes. Ching is also an award-winning cookery author, having published ten best-selling cookbooks to date which have been published in several languages around the world. 

Ching is an entrepreneur, businesswoman and has consulted on many levels, from family-owned restaurants to international corporations in hospitality, often working with brands to execute successful media campaigns.

Shivi Ramoutar

Originally from Trinidad and now residing in London with her family, Shivi is a cookbook author, food writer and TV presenter who loves creating vibrantly colourful, simple to make and most of all delicious recipes to encourage everyone to get in the kitchen.

Dr Clare Holley PhD, FHEA

Clare is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology at Loughborough University. Her research expertise is around children’s eating behaviour, with a focus on how we can promote healthy eating behaviours and reduce unhealthy eating behaviours. She has a particular passion for all things Veg, and has been researching effective ways of increasing children’s vegetable consumption for 10 years.

Chris Collins

Chris trained at Brighton Parks and Edinburgh Botanic gardens. He then worked overseas in Cameroon and Japan and later became garden manager at Kew Gardens and head gardener at Westminster Abbey. Chris is the former Blue Peter and This Morning gardener and is now currently head of horticulture at Garden Organic. 

Dr Laura Wyness PhD

Laura is a freelance Registered Nutritionist in public health nutrition. Her work includes providing online nutrition support for individuals. Laura loves reviewing the scientific evidence and translating it into clear and practical messages, and of course testing out new recipes.

Bee Wilson

Bee Wilson is a food writer and broadcaster and the author of five books, including First Bite: How We Learn to Eat. Her latest book is The Way We Eat Now in which she writes about TastEd. She has long been interested in school food and served two terms as a school governor at St Matthew’s primary school in Cambridge, where she has been piloting TastEd lessons alongside teachers.

Priya Tew

Priya is an award-winning dietitian and nutrition professional with a degree in Nutritional Sciences and a Masters in Dietetics. Registered with the Health Professions Council and the British Dietetic Association, her TV appearances include Eat Well For Less (BBC1), Food Truth or Scare (BBC1) and Honest Supermarket (BBC2). With wide-ranging experience both within the NHS and as a freelance dietitian Priya offers an inventive and fresh approach to nutrition.

Jenny Rosborough RNutr

Jenny is Head of Nutrition at the Jamie Oliver Group and is registered with the Association for Nutrition. Jenny is particularly passionate about improving the food environment through policy change. She is part of the Bite Back 2030 Impact Advisory Committee, a youth-led movement calling for a food system that puts children’s health first and recently joined the Global Food Security Programme’s Strategic Advisory Board. Jenny was previously Campaign Manager at Action on Sugar and developed MEND (child weight management) programmes, upskilling health professionals internationally to deliver these. Jenny has an MSc in Nutrition from Kings College London and a BA in English and Sports Science from Loughborough University.

Bettina Campolucci Bordi

Bettina is a self-taught chef and a huge plant passionate advocate, specialising in Plant based (Vegan) and free from recipe development for brands, the hospitality industry and within food development. Bettina has written three cookbooks; Happy Food & 7 Day Vegan Challenge and her latest, Celebrate – Plant-based recipes for every occasion. Bettina is passionate about unravelling the potential of plant foods and the free-from space by following easy and basic principles incorporating seasonality and local produce. Food that makes you feel good, that is grown within the seasons and nurtured by people that care.

Kim Smith

Kim Smith recently graduated from a Masters in food policy and has over 25 years experience working across the U.K. food industry. Covering a diverse range of roles, she has been a product developer for supermarkets, food service and food manufacturers as well as running farmers markets, food events, judged food awards and most recently taught food education in primary schools. A lifelong lover of food, she is the mother to 2 boys, and now works to improve primary school food education. She does this through her role as Co-Chair and Trustee at TastEd, a leading sensory food education charity, developing a curriculum based primary food education programme and continuing her academic research.

Dr Glenys Jones

Glenys is a Registered Nutritionist (RNutr) specialising in nutrition and health communications. She is experienced in public health and sports nutrition, and has a degree in nutrition science, a Masters in sports physiology and a PhD in nutrition, health and performance. She is the Deputy Chief Executive and Communications Manager for the Association for Nutrition, which is the independent regulator for nutritionists recognised by the NHS, Public Health England, Wales and Scotland, plus many employers.

Zoe Griffiths RNutr

Zoe is a Registered Nutritionist with 30 years experience working in public health specialising in projects to increase fruit and veg consumption in children and adults. Zoe runs her own business, ZG Nutrition, where she is a recipe developer, nutrition writer, conducts research and runs nutrition courses.

Suzanne Mulholland (The Batch Lady) is a Sunday Times best Selling Author of The Batch Lady series of Books.  Suzanne is an expert in modern day Batch cooking and freezer friendly meals. Originally a time management expert, Suzanne realised that the same methods could be applied to give busy working people advice on getting homecooked meals on the table with minimal effort and time spent. Stefan Gates is a multi-award-winning TV presenter, author, podcaster and science communicator specialising in food and science. He has written 12 books, presented over 20 TV series and staged over 3,000 live stage shows around the world.

David Rex RD

Dave Rex has worked as a Specialist Dietitian for Autistic children in the Highlands of Scotland for the last 20 years. He also leads on public health nutrition in Highland schools. Prior to this he worked as Food Policy Advisor in Sandwell; as a Dietitian in Sandwell and Nottingham; and as a food Chemist in the crisp and snack industry. Dave is also a regular contributor to conferences run by the Food and Behaviour Research Charity. He has a degree in Chemistry and Food Science from Reading University, a Post Graduate diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics from Leeds Metropolitan University; and a Masters in Food Policy from City University.

Prof Giles Yeo MBE

Giles Yeo got his PhD in molecular genetics from the University of Cambridge in 1998, after which he joined the lab of Prof Sir Stephen O’Rahilly, working on the genetics of severe human obesity.  Giles Yeo is now a Professor of Molecular Neuroendocrinology and programme leader at the MRC Metabolic Diseases Unit in Cambridge and his research currently focuses on the influence of genes on feeding behaviour & body-weight. In addition, he is a graduate tutor and fellow of Wolfson College, and Honorary President of the British Dietetic Association. Giles is also a broadcaster and author, presenting science documentaries for the BBC, and hosts a podcast called ‘Dr Giles Yeo Chews The Fat’. His first book ‘Gene Eating’ was published in December 2018, and his second book ‘Why Calories Don’t Count’ came out in June 2021. Giles was appointed an MBE in the Queen’s 2020 birthday honours for services to ‘Research, Communication and Engagement’.

Ruth Platt

Ruth Platt was a classroom teacher and school leader for over 25 years before joining TastEd as an Educational Consultant. Having trialled the early TastEd lessons with founder Bee Wilson, she is convinced that sensory food education is an effective way to support children to develop a more positive relationship to fresh fruit and vegetables. She has trained health and educational professionals all over England in the TastEd approach and is delighted that the curriculum materials are so well received by participants. Ruth also works as a  Senior Lecturer Practitioner in the School of Education at Anglia Ruskin University where she teaches on a range of course, including the PGCE.

Ian Taverner

Ian Taverner, Mr Cookfulness, is all about making cooking fun, accessible, adaptable, flexible and a huge boost for your physical and mental health.
